Mr. Minke Hoelen
Lawyer at Rotshuizen Geense Advocaten
Minke Hoelen specializes in personal and family law and became a lawyer later in life. Before her career switch, she was a musician and a lecturer at the School of the Arts in Utrecht.
Minke is a vFAS and MFN accredited mediator ( formerly NMI). Minke’s clients come to her because of her extensive experience in family matters such as custody and divorce cases and termination of cohabitation relationships and her expertise on the related implications.
Relevant issues include the consequences for the children , alimony obligations and entitlements, if any, property settlements and settlements related to prenuptial agreements and business settlements if there is a company involved. She also advises clients how to prevent procedures.
Sometimes Minke represents one client, sometimes both parties. If possible, she tries to come to a mutually agreeable solution. If this is not feasible she will not hesitate to go to court .
As a lawyer specializing in personal and family law, it is important to not only understand the law but also pay attention to the often emotional impact on the lives of clients. Minke regards it as her mission to not lose sight of the human dimension while applying the legal rules.
